In the 1920s and 30s, Sydney's criminal underworld was ruled by deadly women. Tilly Devine was one of the most feared of them all. She controlled the red light district of Darlinghurst and Woolloomooloo. With her gang of razor-wielding thugs, she waged war against her nemesis, Kate Leigh, in an underworld conflict known as The Razor Wars.
This t-shirt depicts Tilly Devine's Long Bay Gaol mugshot and just a few of the hundreds of colourful headlines that appeared in newspapers across Australia.
Tilly Devine's infamy has made her the twentieth-century 'Ned Kelly' in the pantheon of Australia's most notorious criminals.
A black, well-fitting, quality cotton T-shirt.
